عن أبلي رقية تميم بن أوالداري رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:

الدين النصيحة
قلنا: لمن؟ قال: "لله، ولكتابه، ولرسوله، ولأءمة المسلمين وعامتهم

رواه مسلم

Transliteration

'An abi ruqayyata tamimibni 'awsid-Dariyyi radiyallahu 'anhu, annannabiyya sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam qala,

Ad-Dinunnasiha. Qulna: Li man? Qala "Lillahi, wa li Kitabihi, wa li Rasulihi, wa li a immatil muslimina wa 'ammatihim.

Rawahu Muslim

Translation

On the authority of Abu Ruqayya Tamim ibn Aus ad-Dari (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

Religion is sincerity. We said: To whom? He said: To Allah and His Book, and His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk.

It was related by Muslim.


عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال

قال رسول الله صلى الله علي وسم

من حسن إسلام المرء تركه ما لايعنيه

حديث حسن، رواه الترمذي وغيره هكذا

Transliteration

'An abi Hurayrata radiyallahu 'anhu qala,

Qala rasulullahi sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam,

Min husni islamil mar i tarkuhu ma la ya' nih

Hadithun hasan, rawahut-Tirmidhi, wa ghayruhu hakadha.

Translation

The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

Part of someone's being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not concern him.

A good hadith which was related by at-Tirmidhi and others in this form.


عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه
أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قل

من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الاخر فليقل خيرا أو ليصمت
ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الاخر فليكرم جاره
ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الاخرفليكرم ضيفه


رواه البخاري و مسلم

Transliteration

‘An Abi Hurarayta radiyallahu ‘anhu,
Anna Rasulullahi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam qal:

“Man kana yu ‘minu billahi wal yawmil akhir, fal ya qul khayran aw li yasmut,
wa man kana yu ‘minu billahi wal yawmil akhir, fal yukrim jarah,
wa man kana yu ‘minu billahi wal yawmil akhir, fal yukrim dayfah.”
Rawahul Bukhariyyu wa Muslim.

Translation

On the authority of Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest.
It was related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه:

أن رجلا قال لنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:

أوصني، قال: لاتغضب
فرددمرارا، قال: لاتغضب"

رواه البخاري

Transliteration

'An abi Hurayrata radiyallahu 'anhu,

Anna rajulan qala linnabiyyi sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam,

Aw sini. Qala: "La taghdab."
Fa raddada miraran. Qala "La taghdab."

Rawahul bukhariyy

English Translation

On the authority of Abu Hurayra (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said:

A man said to the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him):

Counsel me. He said: Do not become angry. The man repeated several times, and he said: Do not become angry.

It was related by al-Bukhari.


عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنعما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:

إن الله تجاوزلي عن أمتي الخطأ
والنسيان
ومااستكرهوعليه

حديث حسن رواه ابن ماجه والبيهقي وغيرهما

Transliteration

‘Anibni ‘Abbas radiyallahu ‘anhuma, Anna rasulullahi sallallahu ‘alayhi wassalam qal:

Innallaha tajawaza li ‘an ummatil khata ‘ Wannisyan, Wa mastukri hu ‘alayh.

Hadithun hassan, rawahubnu Majah, wal Bayhaqi, wa ghayru huma.

Translation

On the authority of the son of ‘Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

Allah has pardoned for me my people for (their) mistakes and (their) forgetfulness and for what they have done under duress.

A good Hadith related by Ibn Majah, al-Bayhaqi, and others.

عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال
أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنكبي فقال
كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب أو عابرسبيل
رواه البخاري

‘Anibni ‘Umar radiyallahu ‘anhuma qal:
Akhadha rasulullahi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam bimankibi faqal:
Kun fiddunya ka annaka gharib, aw ‘abiru sabil.
Rawahul Bukhari

On the authority of the son of ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took me by the shoulder and said:
Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer.
It was related by al-Bukhari

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radiyallahu `anhu): Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects: I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies); Spoils of war have been made lawful to me; The earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship; I have been sent to all mankind; And the line of Prophets is closed with me.

Sahih Muslim Number 1062



Narrated by Umar Abu Usayd (Radiyallahu `Anhu): Allah's Messenger (sallAllaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: prayer. When any one of you enters the Masjid, he should say: "O Allah! open for me the doors of Thy mercy"; (Allahum-maf-tah li Abwaaba Rahmatik ) And when he steps out he should say: "O Allah! I beg of Thee Thy Grace." Allahumma Innee As-aluka Min Fadlik ) (Imam Muslim said: I heard Yahya saying: I transcribed this hadith from the compilation of Sulayman Ibn Bilal).

Sahih Muslim, Number 1538



Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah(Radhiallaho anho): Our houses were situated far away from the masjid; we, therefore, decided to sell our houses so that we may be able to come near the Masjid. Allah's Messenger (SallAllaahu 'alaihi wasallam) forbade us (to do so) and said: There is for every step (towards the masjid) a degree (of reward) for you. Sahih Muslim Number 1406 The Prophet (PBUH) said "Pass on knowledge from me even if it is only one verse"



Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho): The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: 1. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie. 2. Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise ). 3. If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)" Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 32



Narrated by Ata bin Yasar (Radhiallaho anho): Ibn 'Abbas performed ablution and washed his face (in the following way): He ladled out a handful of water, rinsed his mouth and washed his nose with it by putting in water and then blowing it out. He then took another handful (of water) and did like this (gesturing), joining both hands, and washed his face, took another handful of water and washed his right forearm. He again took another handful of water and washed his left forearm, and passed wet hands over his head and took another handful of water and poured it over his right foot (up to his ankles) and washed it thoroughly and similarly took another handful of water and washed thoroughly his left foot (up to the ankles) and said, "I saw Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) performing ablution in this way." Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 142


Narrated by Sad bin Abi Waqqas(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said "Among the most sinful
person from the Muslims is the one who asked about something which had not
been prohibited, but was prohibited because of his asking."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 392

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said: "Between my house and
my Mimbar (pulpit) there is a garden from one of the gardens of Paradise,
and my Mimbar (pulpit) is also over my Kauthar (pond in the Hereafter)."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 435

Narrated by Jarrir bin Abdullah(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said "Allah will not be
merciful to those who are not merciful to others."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 473

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Name
yourselves with my name (use my name) but do not name
yourselves with my Kunya name (i.e. Abul Qasim). And whoever
sees me in a dream then surely he has seen me for Satan
cannot impersonate me. And whoever tells a lie against me
(intentionally), then (surely) let him occupy his seat in
Hell-fire."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 110

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (Radhiallaho anho):
"Once Mu'adh was along with Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu
'alaihi wasallam) as a companion rider. Allah's Messenger
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "O Mu'adh bin Jabal."
Mu'adh replied, "Labbaik and Sa'daik. O Allah's Apostle!"
Again the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "O
Mu'adh!" Mu'adh said thrice, "Labbaik and Sa'daik, O Allah's
Apostle!" Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
said, "There is none who testifies sincerely that none has
the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is his
Apostle, except that Allah, will save him from the Hell-fire."
Mu'adh said, "O Allah's Apostle! Should I not inform the
people about it so that they may have glad tidings?" He
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "When the people hear
about it, they will solely depend on it." Then Mu'adh narrated
the above-mentioned Hadith just before his death, being afraid
of committing sin (by not telling the knowledge).

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 130


Narrated by Jarir bin Abdullah (Radhiallaho anho):
I gave the pledge of allegiance to Allah's Messenger
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) for the following:

1. offer prayers perfectly
2. pay the Zakat (obligatory charity)
3. and be sincere and true to every Muslim.

Narrated by Abu Said Al Khudri (Radhiallaho anho):
Some women requested the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) time. On that he promised them
one day for religious lessons and commandments. Once during such
a lesson the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "A

woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the
Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "Even two (will shield
her from the Hell-fire)."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 101


Narrated by Ibn Abu Mulaika (Radhiallaho anho):
Whenever 'Aisha (the wife of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi
wasallam)) heard anything which she did not understand, she
used to ask again till she understood it completely. Aisha
said: "Once the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said,
"Whoever will be called to account (about his deeds on the Day
of Resurrection) will surely be punished." I said, "Doesn't
Allah say: "He surely will receive an easy reckoning."
(Sura Inshiqaq:Ver.8) The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi
wasallam) replied, "This means only the presentation of the
accounts but whoever will be argued about his account, will
certainly be ruined."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 103


Narrated by Anas (Radhiallaho anho):
The fact which stops me from narrating a great number of Hadiths
to you is that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:
"Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then (surely)
let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 108


Narrated by Jarir (Radhiallaho anho):
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said to me during
Hajjat-al-Wida': Let the people keep quiet and listen. Then he
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said (addressing the people),
"Do not (become infidels) revert to disbelief after me by
striking the necks (cutting the throats) of one another
(killing each other)."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 122



Narrated by Anas (Radhiallaho anho):
I was informed that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
had said to Mu'adh, "Whosoever will meet Allah without
associating anything in worship with Him will go to Paradise."
Mu'adh asked the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), "Should
I not inform the people of this good news?" The Prophet
(sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "No, I am afraid, lest
they should depend upon it (absolutely)."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 131

Narrated by Ibn Umar (Radhiallaho anho):
A man asked the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam): "What
(kinds of clothes) should a Muhrim (a Muslim intending to
perform 'Umra or Hajj) wear? He (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)
replied, "He should not wear a shirt, a turban, trousers, a
head cloak or garment scented with saffron or Wars (kinds of
perfumes). And if he has no slippers, then he can use Khuffs
(leather socks) but the socks should be cut short so as to make
the ankles bare."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 136

Narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "I have
been given five things which were not given to any amongst the
Prophets before me. These are:

1. Allah made me victorious by awe (by His frightening my
enemies) for a distance of one month's journey.

2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a
place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum. Therefore
my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.

3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me (and was
not made so for anyone else).

4. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation exclusively but I have been sent to all mankind.

5. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection.)

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 429

Tayammum
Rubbing the hands and face with earth in place of making wudu
when water is unavailable.

Narrated by Anas (Radhiallaho anho):
The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 12


Narrated 'Abdullah (Radhiallaho anho):
When the following Verse was revealed: "It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with wrong (worshipping others besides Allah.)" (Al-Anam : verse 83), the companions of
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) asked, "Who is amongst us who had not done injustice (wrong)?" Allah revealed: "No doubt, joining others in worship with Allah is a great
injustice (wrong) indeed." (Luqman : verse 13).
