Prayers at Arafah:

Prayers at Arafah:

It is a Sunnah to combine Dhuhr and 'Asr prayers while at Arafah during the time of Dhuhr Salah (prayer). Both prayers are shortened to two rak'at, performing one earlier than its time. This combination behind an Imam at Namira Mosque. The Imam should give two Khutbahs in which he should explain to the pilgrims, in detail, the rites of Arafah. After the Adhan (call for prayer) is given, then Iqamah (the second call for prayer) is made. After performing Dhuhr prayer, another Iqamah is made and Asr prayer is performed. Pilgrims are to leave Arafah afterwards. If something prevented pilgrims from praying at Namira Mosque, they may pray anywhere else. As for Maghrib and Isha, pilgrims must combine them in Al Muzdalefah. Maghrib prayer is delayed and it is combined to Isha prayers. One single call is given for both prayers, whereas two separate Iqamahs are given for each. Needless to say, the Maghrib prayer is three rak'at, whereas Isha is shortened to two rak'at.
